Job Description

  1. Summary:








  1. Directs financial activities of an organization by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors.








  1. Core Activities:








  1. Guides financial decisions by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing policies and procedures.

  2. Protects assets by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing internal controls.

  3. Prepares reports that summarize and forecast company business activity and financial position in areas of income, expenses, and earnings based on past, present, and expected operations.

  4. Manages the production of budgets, reviews budget proposals, and prepares necessary supporting documentation and justification.

  5. Monitors and confirms financial condition by conducting audits; providing information to external auditors.

  6. Provides management with timely reviews of organization's financial status and progress in its various programs and activities.

  7. Provide financial analyses as needed, in particular for capital investments

  8. Advises on Human Resources issues.

  9. Coordinate the provision of information to external auditors for the annual audit.

  10. Prepares reports required by regulatory agencies.

  11. Provide leadership in strengthening internal communications with staff at all levels throughout the organization; create and promote a positive and supportive work environment.








  1. Supervisory Responsibilities:








  1. Directly supervises Human Resources Manager, Accountant, Accounting Clerk, Administrative Assistant and Inventory Clerk.



  2. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.



  3. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Job Requirements


  1. Education and/or Experience:






  1. Master's degree (M.B.A., M.A.) or equivalent; or four to ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.






  1. Language Skills:







  1. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.



  2. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.



  3. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.










  1. Mathematical Skills:


     






  1. Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.

  2. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.






  1.      Reasoning Ability:


     






  1. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.

  2. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.






  1.  Computer Skills:


     






  1. To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Accounting software; Internet software; Payroll systems; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.






  1. Certificates, Licenses and Registrations:



 




  1. CPA preferred but not required.

  2. Minimum of 5 years experience as controller






  1. Other Skills and Abilities:






  1. Working knowledge of computer and accounting related software packages.

  2. Managerial skills
