Includes the following: (Other duties may be assigned)

1) Ensures compliance with OSHA and company safety rules and regulations.

2) Adheres to company operational procedures and policies as outlined in the Employee Handbook.

3) Reads and follows all Work Instructions, Product Standards, Standard Operating Procedures, and work orders to perform assigned tasks.

4) Actively participates in task analysis and process specific maintenance training, demonstrating retention of key process knowledge and maintenance skills.

5) Demonstrates technical skill proficiency with regard to electrical, mechanical, and process skill sets.

6) Maintains organized and clean work area using 5s methods.

7) As part of the TPM (Total Productive Maintenance), checks machines to ensure they are in proper working condition.

8) Participates in activities and work groups which drive continuous improvement in the operating team, unit, and the facility's ability to meet business requirements, converting process capability, and quality of work life.

9) Develops and always continues to demonstrate skills and knowledge about the converting process

10) Learns and demonstrates problem-solving/troubleshooting skills.

11) Learns and demonstrates positive team interaction skills.

12) Communicates concisely, completely and in a timely manner concerning all maintenance issues.

13) Performs failure analysis on all breakdowns to determine root cause and make recommendations to prevent future breakdowns.

14) Understands and uses CTQ (Critical to Quality) methods with a strong sense of accountability and high standards.

15) Follows direction of Maintenance Lead Person when required.

16) Fabricates equipment as required.

17) Maintains plant supports systems that include; heat, air, fans, air compressors, dryers, and other systems as required.

Job Requirements

Education and Experience Requirements

- High School Graduate or equivalent

- Ability to work nights, holidays, weekends, over-time and be 'on-call' as needed.

- Ability to work in team environment.

- Basic PLC Logic

- Electrical knowledge up to 480

- Volt Certified Preferred

- Strong Mechanical Aptitude

- Post High-School Vocational training in mechanical technology or industrial maintenance is desirable.

- Three (3) or more years' experience of skilled electrical / mechanical maintenance work within a manufacturing environment, or equivalent. Experience working with Allen Bradley program preferred.

- Specific trade experience in general electrical / mechanical maintenance (especially industrial rotating equipment), welding, pipefitting and millwright skills. Machining and other trade specializations such as hydraulics, pneumatics, and vibration analysis is desirable.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

- Ability to climb, bend, stoop on a continuous basis over a twelve (12) hour shift.

- Visual acuity and excellent observation skills.

- Excellent communication skills with the ability to speak with employees/vendors at any level.

- Self-motivated

- Forklift experience/or the ability to obtain passing score on classroom forklift training and satisfactory forklift skills test.
